PNG to JPG

Files never leave your device

Drop PNGs here to get JPGs, often a fifth of the size for photos. Transparent areas are filled with white, since JPG has no transparency.

How to use it

  1. Drop .png files or paste a screenshot.
  2. Pick a quality; 85–92 suits most uses.
  3. Download the JPGs or a zip.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The page loads its code once, then reads and processes your files inside the browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server; you can confirm it in your browser's network panel while a file converts.

When should I keep PNG instead?

Keep PNG for logos, icons, text-heavy screenshots and anything with transparency. JPG blurs sharp edges slightly and has no alpha channel.

My JPG came out larger than the PNG. Why?

Simple graphics with few colors compress very well as PNG. JPG is built for photos, so for flat images PNG can be smaller. Keep whichever is smaller.
