Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The page loads its code once, then reads and processes your files inside the browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server; you can confirm it in your browser's network panel while a file converts.

How do I extract a few pages into a single PDF?

Turn on Combine ranges into one file, then type the pages, e.g. 2, 4, 7-9. You get one PDF with just those pages, in that order.

Will the split files be smaller?

Usually, but shared resources such as embedded fonts are copied into each part, so the parts can add up to more than the original.

Is the text still selectable?

Yes. Pages are copied, not printed or rasterized.
