WebP to PNG

Files never leave your device

Drop WebP files here to get PNGs with their transparency intact. Most images saved from websites are WebP, and PNG opens in every editor and slide app.

How to use it

  1. Drop .webp files or paste an image with Ctrl+V / ⌘V.
  2. Each file converts as soon as it lands.
  3. Download the PNGs, or all of them as a zip.

Questions

Are my files uploaded?

No. The page loads its code once, then reads and processes your files inside the browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server; you can confirm it in your browser's network panel while a file converts.

Why is the PNG bigger than the WebP?

WebP compresses much harder than PNG. The PNG holds the same pixels without the lossy savings, so 3–10 times the size is normal. Use WebP to JPG if you need a small file without transparency.

Does it work with animated WebP?

Only the first frame is converted. Animated WebP to GIF or MP4 is not supported yet.
